This high will be subsumed into a larger high spreading into the western North Atlantic late this week and into the weekend. This will be accompanied by freshening easterly breezes across the Keys waters. The Approximate Shoreward Edge of the Gulf Stream is currently unavailable. $$

The ridge will sustain fresh to locally strong winds just N of Colombia, through the Windward Passage, and in the lee of Cuba today through Thu night. Looking ahead, further building of the high on starting on Fri will also force fresh to strong trades in the Gulf of Honduras, lee of Cuba, Windward Passage and just S of Hispaniola through the weekend. $$
